Your Skype is fully configured and you may cancel you landline phone service. It is easier to do in the office that at home since some of your home appliances may require an arcane phone line to operate. Check it first. There is no phone jack to plug them in.
Always use a headset when calling from your computer. Build-in microphone and speakers are good, but you may hear an echo or external noises. Headset does not need to be expensive.
A $20-30 headset should be good enough.
Skype can also work on the physical phone device as we uses to use. Look at Belkin Desktop Internet Phone –
International calls – pay as you go. This feature allows you to make cheap international calls without a subscription. Most destinations will cost you about 2.3c per minute. There is no extra setup for it, but you have to keep some positive balance on you Skype account. Click on Buy Credit on www.skype.com and add $10 to your account to start with.
Skype To Go number – this feature allows you to make calls using Skype rates (sometimes free) from a regular phone. Skype will assign a phone number for you to call. It works like a calling card service, but you have your own dial-in number. Useful feature when you are on the road without any Internet access. You may pre-program speed dials to call Skype or real phones.
